Abstract

Objectives — Identify the most significant stages and technologies for the production of materials used to make the bases of removable prostheses.
Methods.
Evaluation of PubMed database articles. The search was carried out using the “methyl methacrylate” and “materials for the bases of removable prostheses” terms.
Results.
By the basis of the prosthesis is meant a material in contact with the prosthetic bed, the functions of which are to maintain the stability of the prosthesis and the strong retention of artificial teeth.
Conclusions.
A wide range of scientific approaches to optimization and the use of materials for the manufacture of removable prostheses have been identified.

Key words:

basis, removable prosthesis, methylmethacrylate, ethylmethacrylate
