Abstract

Multiple myeloma is considered the most common hematologic malignancy after lymphoma, accounting for about 10% of blood cancers. Lesions of the jaws are rarely the first sign of the disease, but most often the focus is localized in the body of the lower jaw. The paper presents a clinical case of a three-year follow-up of a patient with multiple myeloma after its detection at a dental appointment.
