Abstract
Caries and periodontal diseases have high prevalence worldwide. The aim of this work was to study regional characteristics of stomatological morbidity among Saratov adults based on epidemiological survey. 178 citizens (in two key age groups - 35-44 olds and 65 olds and older) were investigated according to WHO criteria (1997). Results of our study showed that prevalence and intensity of caries and periodontal diseases among Saratov adults were higher than average national data. Caries prevalence was 100,0% in both key age groups. DMFT index was 15,2 among 35-44 olds and 24,9 among 65 olds and older. Prevalence of periodontal diseases was 91,8% among 35-44 olds and 100,0% among 65 olds and older. Regional data of stomatological morbidity are necessary for planning the work of dental services.Key words:
