Orthopedic treatment effectiveness analysis of patients with full removable plate soft lining dentures

Abstract

Orthopedic treatment of patients with complete absence of teeth is one of the most difficult tasks in modern dentistry. Analyzing the scientific literature it becomes obvious that the percentage of the adult population belonging to the older age groups is growing, and accordingly the need for orthopedic treatment is also increasing. There are a number of unresolved problems related to prosthetics of such patients: an increase in the aesthetic properties of the prosthesis, an improvement in the conditions for fixing the prosthesis, and a reduction in pressure on the tissues of the prosthetic bed. To reduce the mechanical effect of a complete removable plate prosthesis on the tissues of the prosthetic bed, orthopedic dentists make soft liners from various materials. According to the literature, 20-26% of patients do not use manufactured prostheses. We set ourselves the task of studying this category of patients and revealing the main factors of dissatisfaction with the manufactured structures.
