Abstract
One of the topical issues in the study of osteomyelitis of the jaws is a special form of the disease with atypical passage, denoted as a primary chronic osteomyelitis, which lacks the acute phase of the disease, and productive processes prevail over destructive. The aim of the study was justification for differential diagnostic value of clinical-radiological and immunological signs of primary and secondary chronic osteomielitov jaws, including determining the effectiveness of surgical treatment. We observed 14 patients with primary chronic osteomyelitis of the low jaws. Comparison group was provided with 28 patients with secondary chronic osteomyelitis of the same localization. The study was carried out using computed tomography and clinical analysis, immunological signs were determined as different phenotypes of blood lymphocytes by flow cytometry method before and after surgical interference. It was established that there is no adjusting effect of surgical treatment on immunologic feaches of the blood of patients with primary chronic osteomyelitis of the jaw, in contrast to the positive impact of early intervention on immune status of the patients with secondary chronic osteomyelitis.Key words:
