Abstract

The article presents data on the features of medical tactics in dental implantation and orthopedic treatment of patients with thyroid gland diseases according to the literature. According to WHO, the prevalence of diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, among endocrinopathies, ranks second after diabetes. The questions of the necessity and effectiveness of prosthetic implants in such patients are still debated in the literature and are very controversial. However, recently many authors are inclined to the opinion that dental implantation and subsequent prosthetics in this pathology are possible under the condition of control and timely correction together with the endocrinologist physician of the thyroid status, the degree of compensation of the pathological process, as well as the condition of the bone tissue of the alveolar processes.
