Abstract

The article presents the results of the use of a modified method for assessing chewing efficiency in 30 patients with dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint by determining the occlusal contact area using computer software. The results of the study indicate a statistically significant increase in the occlusal contact area and chewing efficiency after conservative orthopedic treatment.
