Abstract
Incidence and intensity of dental caries among children who have herpetic stomatitis (HS) were examined. A complete comparative stomatological examination of 156 children brought out that children with herpetic lesion of tunica mucosa of mouth have more incidence and intensity of dental caries and a lower level of oral hygiene (p≤0,05) in comparison with children without HS. Therefore, stomatological pathology may be one of the pathogenic mechanisms in the development of herpetic lesion of tunica mucosa of mouth.
