Abstract

The article highlights the influence of the stage of preparation the oral cavity to the prosthetics, including dental sanation and special events, dental status and quality of life of patients with dentition defects on the background of diabetes mellitus type II. It was carried out a detailed dental examination and treatment of 75 people with included dentition defects. Specialized dental diagnostic methods include: the definition of the intensity of caries index for the CPU; Communal periodontal index CPI, the simplified oral hygiene index GAMES-Y; on tooth mobility A.I. Yevdokimov; definition of chewing efficiency; electromyography masticatory muscles, orthopantomography. In addition to general dental examination was carried out purposeful study of the functional state of dental system, which was carried out under the program «Hamburg test» based on the detection rate of the six test feature. Status of psychological comfort determined using OHIP-14 questionnaire. During the research it was found that common sanation and specialized preparations of the oral cavity before the prosthesis of people with diabetes mellitus type II to improve the psychological comfort and make a significant contribution to the rehabilitation of patients. Given the above, it can be concluded that oral Preprosthetic training is an important, integral part of the orthopedic treatment and should be seen as an important step that ensures its success. Dental status of patients with diabetes and the ways of its correction is an important section in the complex therapeutic and preventive measures in the rehabilitation of patients with this pathology.
