Abstract

The study is devoted to the application of interactive teaching methods in the implementation of additional professional programs in the specialty of “Prosthodontics”. A statistical, analytical, and empirical analysis of the experience of the department based at the Pavlov University (St. Petersburg) and the Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University (Veliky Novgorod) was conducted. The results showed that the use of a mind map is effective for structuring theory and modeling the clinical picture, developing systems analysis. A didactic game based on a patient’s medical history excerpt contributes to the formation and improvement of diagnostic, treatment, and teamwork skills. The high results of the final certification (more than 80% of “excellent” and “good” grades) with the combined use of both methods objectively indicate an increase in the quality of material assimilation and the level of formation of professional competencies among trainees in advanced training programs.

Key words:
