Abstract

The problem of treatment of odontogenic maxillary sinusitis is in the competence of two specialties - otorhinolaryngology and dentistry. An interdisciplinary approach is most effective in the treatment of odontogenic maxillary sinusitis. Recovery of patients with odontogenic maxillary sinusitis is possible after elimination of the odontogenic focus and restoration of ventilation and drainage function of the maxillary sinus. Modern endodontic technologies allow in some cases to preserve the causal tooth. Intra-nasal pathology leads to a violation of the ventilation-drainage function of the sinus, burdening the flow of odontogenic maxillary sinusitis. This fact should be taken into account in clinical practice. The use of minimally invasive endovideoscopic methods of treatment has an advantage over radical operations on the maxillary sinus. The complex approach allows achieving satisfactory results of treatment of odontogenic maxillary sinusitis.
