Abstract

Currently, more and more often at the dental reception there are various types of combined anomalies and deformities. The relationship manifestations of common somatic diseases are often correlated with manifestations in the oral cavity. Not an exception is acromegaly. In this paper, the features of the structure of the oral cavity in persons with acromegaly at the dental reception were studied. In patients with this disease, the mass of soft tissues is increased, the shape of the dentition and the timbre of the voice are changed. An objective examination revealed macroglossia, hypoplastic gingiva, macrocheilitis, increased interdental spaces. The prevalence of this deformation makes it necessary and relevant knowledge of this pathology by dentists.
