Abstract

Among all traumatic dental injuries root fractures make up 0.5-7%. These fractures are usually as the result of horizontal directional trauma. The frequency of fractures of the middle third of tooth more than in apical and cervical parts. This article describes the case of complicated fracture of the upper incisor 2.1 with broke crown of the tooth and horizontal root fracture in the middle root segment. After obturation of the apical part (1/3 length) of the root canal by a vertical compaction of warm gutta-percha and filling of fracture line by MTA (ProRoot, Dentsply), separated root fragments were united with the help of a glass fiber post and then tooth restored by the zirconia crown. The one-year follow-up showed a favorable clinical and radiological results.
